Laurie serves as an advisor to the S. Daniel Abraham Center for Middle East Peace. Drawing from her extensive experience creating and leading nonprofit organizations, Laurie provides guidance to the Center assisting the expansion of its outreach and educational efforts in the US regarding Israel and the Palestinian Territories. She has extensive experience creating and heading nonprofit organizations. Most recently, Laurie served as a co-founder and executive director of Sunflower Bakery, an employment training program for young adults and teens with learning differences. Prior to Sunflower, Laurie led Project Interchange, an institute of the American Jewish Committee, bringing leaders from the US and worldwide to Israel. Laurie has also directed the Association for Safe International Road Travel (ASIRT) and established the Holocaust Education Project at Florida Atlantic University.
